Well Ankit, That depends on exactly how the "Journalist" theme is coded. There is no answer that would fit every theme. I have a post about theme layout that may give you a better understanding of how to widen the post area. This post should give you an idea about the fonts. Hope that helps.

Ya I know that for a theme to be edited one need to have a self hosted blog.
I was asking this question because I’m planing to get a domain name for my blog and to make it self-hosted.
Any answers to my previous questions ???????

I don’t think you can edit a theme hosted on WordPress.com.

Hello,
I’m using “The Journalist” theme and I would like increase the width for the post area, change font to verdana, post’s heading color to red from black.
What changes that I should apply to the CSS code for the above mentioned things?

I am using the “This Just In” Theme. Great.
However, I would like to reduce the size of the font in the “Recent Posts” plug in
I do not know where to modify.

Styles does not seem to work and I cannot seem to access the plug in.

Can you give me a pointer to where I could modify.

As far as the theme displaying the complete post, that is the default way it works. Generally to display an excerpt from a post, you would type what you want to appear on the front page followed by the "more" tag. Here's the information straight from the source. Regarding the widget issue........I'm at a loss on that one. I would recommend searching the forum at Wordpress.org.
