Where Have I Been?

It’s been over a month since I posted, so what have I been up to? Well, a lot, actually. From a web perspective, I’ve been working on my BANS stores, and am having a really good month….my best since eBay started the eBay partner network for affiliates. I’ve also been on my second week of vacation this month – this past week. While off work, I’ve been working on a site for my church, which is being built on WordPress. Aside from the web, I spent one week on vacation in Florida, and have spent a lot of time doing yard work, breaking in my new(to me) riding lawn mower.

Can I see one of your BANS sites? To see what one looks like?

Sounds like you’ve been busy. I’m actually working on some ppc affiliate stuff along with cranking out as many PhpBay sites that I can. I actually switched from Ebay Partner Network to Pepperjam Network and things have started to pick up significantly. My goal is to see how many different sites that I can get online by the end of August. It’s a lot of late nights but I love doing it.

I’ve designed a couple of sites in WordPress and it’s really nice to use. You can virtually use it about anyway that you want to for a site and it’s so easy to give it your own look and feel.

Hopefully you enjoyed vacation as much as I did!

Debbie – Here’s one that sales billiiard supplies.

Clarke – I’m a member of Pepperjam, but have stayed with EPN for the time being for my stores. I agree about WordPress. I continue to appreciate it more and more each new site I use it for. I haven’t tried PHPBay as of yet. I may in the future just to mix things up a bit, and I do love working with WP. I like BANS because it’s such a light-weight piece of software, and I can have a site up within minutes(if I can stop myself from tweaking-haha). The last 4 or 5 stores I set up, I easily did in one night.

That’s pretty quick to get all those setup in one night. I’ve looked at BANS but my biggest concern was that there really isn’t a wide array templates to use for your stores. I’m also not sure how much you can customize each page in terms of title tags, descriptions, and other on page content.

It takes me a little bit longer to setup a site with phpBay, but I love being in complete control of the entire look and functionality. Usually if I work really hard I can get a site setup in a day and that includes writing some content, and unique titles and descriptions for every page on the site. I’m starting to get faster though!

That’s an excellent point about the title tags for each page. Obviously, it’s not a problem for “content” pages, but when it comes to product categories, it’s a different story.

Sometimes you just have to take some time off for yourself, especially when you are are doing internet marketing. It’s too easy to go overboard. I wandered through your site and thought you did some pretty good stuff.

I also went by your church website. Nicely done. I have to agree with you, WordPress is a great tool for building sites. Unless someone is familiar, they would never know it was built on with a blog platform.

Best of luck in the future.
