Replaced the kitchen faucet this morning. I thought this would be a 30 minute project, but boy, did I make a bad call on that one…
If the old one would have come out easier, it would have been easy, but don’t let those how-to video’s on Youtube fool ya. There is no more uncomfortable, or awkward position you can get in. And those hard-to-reach connections were tighter than the skin on Joan River’s face. The old faucet was put in with copper tubing that was soldered together. The new ones, of course, are different in that they use hoses. This was no big deal aside from an extra trip to town. Anyway, I probably spent around two hours of actual work time.

Ah, the satisfaction of a job well done.
Oh yes, and justification to kick back and prop the ole feet up for a few minutes.
The last time I replaced my old kitchen faucet, I ended up doing this job for 2 hours. I was quite surprised myself knowing that the job could be so difficult. In the end, there is no easy method when it comes to replacing a kitchen faucet.
