One Good Reason Not to Swim in the Ocean (off topic)

This is one of those emails I got forwarded to me. This one got my attention……..

“There was a family on holiday in Australia for a week and a half when the husband, wife and their 15 year old son decided to go scuba diving. The husband is in the Navy and has had some scuba experience.

The son wanted a picture of his mom and dad in all their gear so he got the under water camera ready to go. When it came to taking the picture the dad realized that the son looked like he was panicking as he took it and gave the “OK” hand sign to see if he was alright.

The son took the picture and swam to the surface and back to the boat as quick as he could so the mom and dad followed to see if he was OK. When they got back to him he was scrambling onto the boat and absolutely panicking.

When the parents asked why he said “there was a shark behind you” and the dad thought he was joking……..but the skipper of the boat said it was true………but they wouldn’t believe him. As soon as they got back to the hotel, they loaded the picture onto the laptop and this is what they saw. (continue reading to see the picture)

Huge Shark

(Try and tell me you wouldn’t have emptied your entire digestive system right at the point you saw it)

Would you have stayed to take the picture?? ”

  1. That photo may be photoshopped, but I’m always cautious getting into the water since I arrived in Oz. Sharks attack abalone divers quite frequently. They are there, it’s just a matter of whether you may find yourself in the wrong place at the wrong time.

  2. Oh well, I guess it’s photoshopped. Even so, the older I get, the more swimming in the ocean doesn’t seem like such a good idea.

Like Armen said, being attacked by a shark may be a matter of being in the wrong place(ocean) at the wrong time, but I can’t imagine a more painful way to die than being eaten alive.

  4. Haha.

Has to be photoshopped. The shark is too big (thing’s massive!), but the pic wouldn’t have as much impact if it was a more realistic size.

But it’s a cool pic and it’s really well done.

  5. wow, that thing is huge!!! I have always been afraid of sharks!!!!
well, if u r there, go 2 youtube.com and type up *Megalodon* and look for that title, it has to be made by Paranormal Vidoes!! It is frickin scary, i only wanna swim in pools now!!! :(

  6. the shark is massive but it’s not unreal massive, sharks haev been know to reach 37 feet, GWS that is, and that seems to be a around 8.2 m shark, it any where close to megalodon or jaws people lol

  7. Hello my friends!
The interesting name of a site – antbag.com
    I yesterday 1 hours
looked in the Internet So I have found your site :)
The interesting site but does not suffice several sections!
However this section is very necessary!
Necessarily I shall advise your site to the friends!
    Forgive I is drunk :) )

  8. Its either photo fixed or the divers are midgets or the shark is on steroids. This is exactly why they won’t go to the moon again because you can now do all this incredible stuff with computers and figure out what’s fake and what’ not. Stanley Kubrick bite your tongue. Steve Jaubert

  9. this shark is the same shark as the one located in this photograph

  10. I can see that it is photoshopped of course…however idk how much u guys kno about Great White Sharks but they r huge lol And if u have seen the orginal picture of the shark, it is a real picture of a very big Great White Shark.

  11. If you look at the picture next to this one then you can see the shark without the divers, its definately photoshopped.

  12. Don’t ever go into the ocean. It’s like an open zoo. Big sharks can swim in two feet of water. Even a small shark can either kill you or tear you up so bad that you won’t live.
Sharks spend their entire life cruising for food. I’ve seen millions of jellyfish with stinging tenacles drifting along side of my boat only fifty feet from shore. The list of ocean predators continues to grow. I want to die in bed, not in the belly of some ocean creature. You wouldn’t go to a zoo if all the cages were open, would you? Most people think they’re safe if they only go in up to their waist. WRONG! I picked up a beached jelly one time and it took me over a month to get over the sting-a-blasts! Forget the vinegar and salt. Once you are stung or bitten by a single thing, a swarm, or school of them, its over! Just remember the river fish (name?) with the jaws and teeth that can nick hardened steel. The school of these fish will strip a body clean down to a skeleton in minutes.
Is swimming in an open zoo that important to you??? I would rather swim in a nice clean, safe pool, with other people around…and I’m a skinny dipper!
