Thanks for this, I'll give it a go. I've been using divs with float for mine, although I am not a designer so my site is always lacking in any images just because I don't have the creativity to create my own - and trying to find just the right one, when you've no idea what the right one should look like, can suck up hours!

I guess not everybody can be creative .... I know I'm not :)

Good luck and thanks for taking the time with this.

Hi Tim,

Actually, if you click the link in this post to Cutline, the link is directly to a post on the Cutline support site that explains in detail how to post images within the theme. In Cutline you don't use vspace and hspace, because the spacing is already worked into the theme. All you would do is ad the class "center" to the code. It will look something like this:

<code>img class="center" src="http://wherever image is hosted" width="480" height="300" alt="alt-text"</code>

Hi Anthony

Thanks for the great tips. I am building a test site using the cutline theme and am having problems with the spacing between text and image.

My images are 480px wide by 300px deep. They span the whole text column and sit centered directly above my posts. To put in space I just hit return, which is fine, but the returns don't give equal space. I tried using your vspace code, but then I get the vspace amount PLUS the return.

Any tips on getting consistent vertical space?

Many thanks for your great site.
