Experimenting With a New Design
For those of you who are visiting my site, you’ll notice that I’m experimenting with a new design. This is actually one of the themes that I was working on for release, however I’ve decided that I would like to use it here. I really like my old design, but I’m thinking it’s time for a change. I’ve included a picture for those reading via feedreader or email. Come on by the site and check out the design.

Unfortunately, there are still a few bugs I’ve run into that I’m trying to work out. I *think* I have most IE issues worked out. I’m having a small problem with the header displaying correctly in the Opera browser. I hope to get that fixed right away.
If everyone would just use Firefox, life would be so much easier.

It looks really good, great job. I’ve haven’t had to much time to spend on mine lately, but I still plan on launching a new one this month.
On the Firefox issue I 100% agree as its the only web browser I use anymore.
Looks good Anthony … although I miss the BMW stock car
I think my next theme design might be a 3 column one as well. But that’s a ways away
hehe, I agree with you, if everyone was using firefox it would be awesome, but unfortunately there’s still “too many” people using IE hehe
Man I have to say, this new theme is incredibly goood looking, stylish, pro, wow!
Love the header also, home of the ez access desktop, that’s cool! I’m jealous now hehe
Clarke – Thanks. I’m looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Didn’t I read that you plan to build on top of the newly released Copyblogger theme? I have that theme downloaded, but haven’t played around with it so far.
Shane – Yeah, I’ve never done the whole 3 column thing before…thought I’d give a try.
I really like the design I’ve been using and haven’t decided what to do just yet. It was built on the Cutline theme framework. A while back, I re-built the theme on top of my own framework(I never used it on the site), and it looks almost identical. I’m gonna have to think about that one…….I spent a lot of time tweaking it just the way I wanted it.
Jonathan –
I think you left your comment at the same time I was replying to Clarke and Shane. Thank all you guys for the compliments!
That “Home of the EZ Access Desktop” banner makes it sound like it was really popular, huh? That wasn’t really what I was trying to do, but hey, it is a cool idea. I wanted to place a banner of some kind there to fill in the space as well as position my blog for growth. I would love to sell that space out to an advertiser at some point. Several of your posts have got me thinking ahead, Jonathan. (You’ll notice that I’m now using the Gregarious Plug-in).
It looks great in IE7 …
Yep, I’m one of “those” people. haha
But in my defence, I do use Thunderbird. It’s much cleaner than Outlook and more functional than Outlook express.
I like IE7…….but it doesn’t have all the awesome extensions that Firefox does. It’s definitely a step up from IE6 which is where I usually run into problems, if any. I’ve been testing out my themes on Firefox, IE7, IE6, and Opera at various resolutions…..3 different conputers. I agree about Thunderbird.
Check out Browsershots.org too. They give you a screenshot in a lot of different browsers. Not as good as actually checking using the browsers, but it’s useful nonetheless.
I’ve heard of this tool before, but have never tried it. I’m gonna give it a shot and see what comes up. Thanks for pointing it out.
