EZ Access Desktops!
How often to you sit at your computer and look at your desktop background? There’s certainly nothing wrong with having a nice picture, but does it ever seem like wasted space? Or maybe your desktop is a jumbled mess of icons and folders…
What if we could put that wasted space to use, and actually speed up computer navigation as well?
Without further ado, I present to you the EZ Access Desktop.
Rather than displaying a picture, and having all your icons lined up on the left side of the screen, we can actually separate everything in sections. Not only will your desktop be more useful, but you could become much more productive as well! I first introduced this concept here, while taking part in the Ultimate Guide to Productivity. After realizing that all computer users don’t use image editing programs, I decided to make several variations and offer them for free! I even have a couple here to demonstrate you don’t *have*to give up a picture background to use this method!
For these downloads, I chose to not label the sections. That way, if you want your game icons in the lower right portion of the screen, they won’t end up in a section labeled “Spreadsheets”. Labeled or not, it works great!
Included here are several desktops separated into four sections, as well as desktops separated into six sections. There are several to choose from in both of those categories!
All desktops are available in 800×600, 1024×768, 1280×1024, and 1600×1200. No widescreens at this time…..sorry. Just choose the style you want and download the zip. Each zip file includes that particular background in all four sizes.
