Darkwater 2-Column – Theme for WordPress

First of all, I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year. I hope this will be great year for all of you!
Available today is a 2 Column version of my Darkwater theme for WordPress. I’ve actually gotten several requests for this, so here it is for you guys who asked for it. The original Darkwater has been my second most popular theme, right behind NetWorker.
I’ve made a few other changes and modifications besides just losing a sidebar. Here are a few things that were modified:
- Added the “search” feature at the top of the sidebar.
- Updated the comment form and comment area.
- Widened the post area.
- Re-Organized the stylesheet which will make it easier to customize.
I hope many people will be able to use and enjoy this theme. If the WordPress Theme Viewer website ever allows uploading new themes again(I’m starting to wonder?), this theme along with updated copies of my other themes will be available there as well.
*This theme was built with valid XHTML and CSS code.

So strange, I ctually hacked a 2 column version out for my site! Maybe I’ll change to this one.

Weird thing is, it doesn’t display all my categories. Any idea why that is?

No, I don’t have any idea why. Looking at your blog, it looks like you have one category with sub-categories, but they are showing now.
I figured it out. I had another category with subs that wasn’t showing up, because the parent was empty. Posted something there, and now it all works.

dude – i’ve been shopping for so long now for a 2 column theme simply becuase darkwater was3. problem solved. onto extreme customization – thanks a million.

Today I installed the Darkwater 1.1 theme on my wordpress blog however the second column shows up at the very bottom of the page. I a bit of a beginer with this so any sugestions on how I could fix it or what I did wrong? With the exception of my problem, the theme is awesome! Nice work!

I’m not positive, but it’s most likely that some of your banner advertisements in the posts along with some of the things you have added in the sidebar are wider than the area that contains them. As I said, I’m not positive about this, but this would be the first thing I would look at.

I like this theme, but no category/cloud plugins seems to work, meaning they appear as a list and not a cloud.
Is it something I am doing wrong?

I would like to use the 2-column version, cause I prefer it rather than the 3-column I got some days ago.
But the download link seems not to be working.
Any idea on where can I get “Darkwater_2-Column.zip”?

MigL – I tested the download link, and it’s working for me – and yes, widgets do work with the theme.
