Darkwater - Theme for Wordpress

Quiet, Peaceful……..tranquility.

That’s the best way I know of to describe Darkwater. This theme is a little different, and I’m rather proud of it. I wanted to do something a little more experimental with this one.

Fastway - Theme for Wordpress

If you look around the net for Wordpress themes, you’ll notice that there are tons of them that are freely available. But the design you choose for your site says a lot about you. IMHO, when someone visits your site for the first time, your design is probably what they will remember most……dare I say it……….maybe even more than your great writing. ;-) That’s why I think it’s important to have a theme that looks clean, uncluttered, and professional. That’s where Fastway comes in.

I’ve used this theme right here on my site for the past week. After checking it out, Jonathan-C. Phillips shared his impression:

I have to say, this new theme is incredibly good looking, stylish, pro, wow!

Simply put, this is the one you’ve been looking for!

While I really like this design, my original intention for it was to be a publicly released theme. After briefly using it myself, I’ve made a few improvements and am ready to offer it to you! This is the first 3 column theme I’ve made available. From the nice color scheme, to the vast amount of white space, this theme is an excellent platform for any type of blog.

p.s. - did I mention that it’s widget ready…..?

YellowJacket - Theme for Wordpress

JellowjacketToday I’m introducing YellowJacket, my new theme for Wordpress. I’ve noticed that themes with a black background are very popular downloads on the theme-viewer site, so I thought I would offer my interpretation. What better color to accent black than yellow?……none that I can think of! Aside from the colors, one of the main differences between this theme and my previous two, is the width. The other two were very wide themes - 900px to be exact. This theme has a width of 775px, which will make it look better on a 800×600 resolution screen(I guess there are a few people who still run with this resolution).

Paintbrush : Theme for Wordpress

My next offering into the world of Wordpress themes, Paintbrush 1.0, is a theme with an exceptional color scheme.

Paintbrush Screenshot There’s something I’ve always liked about blue and green together. And to be able to mix that with with art and painting, makes it that much better. It has great appeal!

Coffee Break - New Wordpress Theme

Coffee Break Theme ScreenshotTo create my first theme that I felt was “public release” worthy, I slaved over the details. The design is the opposite of what I’m using here on my site - It’s very conservative and “earthy”. No bright colors or rounded corners will be found here.

Coffee Break is a fixed-width layout. It’s also CSS valid, and widget ready. One of the things I really like is how the theme handles images. As most of you know, I’m a fan of the Cutline theme - more for it’s robust mark-up than for the default design. As Cutline has classes assigned to images, I’ve included that same idea in Coffee Break to make positioning an image in your post much easier. Special thanks to Small Potato at WPDesigner.com for his great tutorial which answered several questions I had.

I hope you guys like it.
