The 2012 Scout Pine Wood Derby races proved to be a lot of fun. Chase knew exactly how he wanted his car to look from the very beginning, which was pretty funny. He wanted a limousine! Who ever heard of a limousine race car?? Anyway, that’s what he wanted, and that’s what he got. He took the initial block of wood we got, and drew the profile on the side as he wanted it to be cut. Once it was cut, he and I sanded it, painted it, and prepared it for victory. We entered it in two different races. First was the race just for our troop. Then we had the district race which included all the troops in the Tupelo area. Chase placed 1st place in our troop race, and wasn’t so fortunate in the district race.
